Do Not Wine About It

The Perfect Wine for the Perfect Meal

Have you ever wondered which wine to serve with a meal? Well, look no further! When you are preparing your Gourmet Meals, simply consult our handy reference page to discover the perfect wine.   Let Kaiser, the wine dog, help you through the process.  In this section, we only cover different varietals and not specific wines. Please do offer suggestions though!

Merlot -- This wine can best be described as a little softer and more subtle than a Cabernet Sauvignon and also with a little less tannins.  A Merlot is best served with:  beef, duck, tuna or salmon.  You might want to avoid any other types of fish with this wine.

Cabernet Sauvignon  -- This wine can best be described as a full flavored and fruit forward wine  A Cabernet Sauvignon is best served with:  beef, duck, roast chicken or wind game. It is really best to avoid most seafood when it comes to this wine.  This is one of our favorites as it tends to be tannic.
